NTU is Taiwan's most comprehensive university offering excellence in teaching and research in a wide array of subjects. More than 200 degree programs, ranging from the natural sciences to the humanities and social sciences, are underpinned by cutting-edge research and vibrant academia-industry cooperation. NTU's Chinese language courses are among the world's most popular, due to their excellent quality. Apart from learning Chinese full-time, students can also take Chinese courses in addition to any other academic program. To help them get settled in Taiwan and learn about local culture, NTU offers free Chinese courses for its international students.

At present, the University consists of 13 colleges, 56 departments, 139 graduate institutes, as well as 32 Master's and PhD degree programs. NTU's programs cover a wide array of disciplines across science, arts, and the humanities, with up to 8,000 courses made available for selection each semester.

International Student Financial Assistance Grant
Applicable degree: Bachelor
Benefits: this scholarship is divided into 2 kinds:
  1. Full tuition waiver/reimbursement
  2. Full tuition waiver/reimbursement + monthly stipend of NTD 6,000 (USD 200)
Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students and Hong Kong and Macau Students admitted through Recommendation by Overseas Senior High Schools Applicable degree: Bachelor
Benefits: this scholarship is divided into 2 kinds:
  1. Full tuition reimbursement
  2. Full tuition reimbursement + monthly stipend of TWD 6,000 (USD 200)
Note: Available to Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau students

Outstanding International Graduate Student Scholarship
Applicable degree: Master and PhD
Benefits:
  1. Master: Tuition waiver/reimbursement + monthly stipend of min. TWD 6,000 (USD 200)
  2. Ph.D.: Tuition waiver /reimbursement + monthly stipend of min. TWD 8,000 (USD 265)
