According to the Regulations of the scholarship for international students of CTU.
Admitted undergraduate and graduate students may obtain a room shared with 4 or 6 students. The dormitory fees are about TWD13,850 for 4-bed room and TWD9,500 for 6-bed room per semester. Water / Electricity will be charged separately according to consumption. |

Scholarships hereby aim to encourage international students’ enrollment to Chienkuo Technology University (CTU).
Qualifications |
1) International degree students who have officially registered but are not ROC citizens, nor overseas Chinese. |
||
2) International degree students who have suspended the schooling but whose scholarship eligibility has not been revoked need to reapply when returning to CTU. |
|||
3) Students of special programs or having been admitted on special terms are not eligible. |
|||
4) Candidates also have to meet the following requirements: evaluation of personal conducts above 80, no failure on any subjects and no record of misconduct or discipline. |
|||
5) No unaccountable absence during classes. |
|||
The maximum duration of award to undergraduate students is four years, while to master’s students is two years. The number of scholarship recipients and amount of scholarships will vary upon the CTU’s annual budget. |

In the 1st school year, tuition and incidentals in each semester for qualified international degree students is NT$ 25,000 (including intensive Chinese courses fee). From the 2nd school year and beyond, eligibility of recipients is as follows: ◎ Tuition Fully Waived:Applicants whose average grade is 85 or above and whose ranking is among top 30% of all applicants of their faculty in previous semester. (incidentals not waived) ◎ Tuition Half Waived:Applicants whose average grade is 85 or above and whose ranking is among top 50% of all applicants of their department in previous semester. (incidentals not waived) The rest of international degree students who are not eligible for scholarships aforementioned need to pay the whole tuition and incidentals. |
From the 2nd school year and beyond, applicants whose average grade in the previous semester is 80 or above will receive NT$ 3,000 per month, that is, totally NT$ 12,000 for each semester. The recipients will have to provide service of 16-hour/month, totally 64-hour/4-month in the semester of award. The service specifically includes assisting the new international students in adapting to the school life and the environment, and submitting the reports to OIA every month. |
Recipients receive NT$ 5,000/per month and totally NT$20,000/per semester after completingregistration procedure. The tuition fee is upon the amount of agreement between both schools. |
Application procedures:
Incoming international degree students submit application forms to Office of International Affairs when applying for admission. Currently enrolled students refer to Section 2。
Scholarships Review Process |
1) Incoming students: Incoming students submit scholarship application forms and transcripts of original school along with admission application to Office of International Affairs. Recipients will be announced after approval by the committees and CTU President. The recipients have to complete registration procedure before receiving the award. |
2) Continuing students: Currently enrolled international students’ application forms and transcripts shall be submitted to the Office of International Affairs by the end of July every year. The recipients will be announced after approval by the committees and CTU President. |
※ International degree students who are receiving or have received other kinds of scholarships for more than NT$40,000/per semester are ineligible.
Recipients shall not receive the scholarships if he or she 1) does not complete the registration procedure for the semester when awarded 2) retains the student status 3) transfers to another university. International degree students who have suspended the schooling but whose scholarship eligibility has not been revoked need to reapply when returning to CTU |

Scholarship recipients will be required to return the full amount of scholarships awarded if they are found to have submitted counterfeit documents or fake qualifications. The abovementioned recipients who suspend schooling, transfer to other universities or have been expelled during the semester of award have to return the cash received as well. |
|
The regulations will be applied to the international students enrolled for the spring semester, 2022 and beyond. |
The regulations are formally approved by the Administrative Committee and come into effect upon the approval of the President of CTU. The same procedure should apply to amendments. |
