Chang Gung University (CGU), a contemporary and research-directed university with entrepreneurial spirits, was established by the founding Wang family of the Formosa Plastics Group in the northern Taiwan. CGU is highly ranked globally in the QS World Universities Rankings 2022, and in the top 5 among the 151 universities in Taiwan. CGU has 4 colleges: College of Medicine, College of Engineering, College of Management, and College of Computing (starting in 2022). Tuition fees in CGU vary depending on the level of the student’s degree and the year of study. International students (including overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland Chinese students) are charged the same amount as domestic students.

An academic year contains two semesters, and each semester contains 18 weeks. All fees are paid in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD). Here are the tuition fees for 3 colleges:

• College of Medicine: full tuition-waiver~122,198 NTD/year 
• College of Engineering: 89,212~ 151,998 NTD/year 
• College of Management: 77,654~91,426/year 
• For Ph.D. students, the tuition fee will be waived from the third academic year, only pay for credit fee 3,813 (NTD/per semester).

CGU provides a variety of scholarships for international degree students, including Master’s and Doctoral Scholarships and Grants for International Students, Academic Scholarship for Outstanding Students (Undergraduate Programs) and teaching/research assistant opportunities.

In addition to scholarships offered by CGU, all the applicants may also apply for Taiwan Scholarship offered by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

Accommodation Fee Reduction or Exemption:

International students (graduate degree students only; students on exchange or short-term visit are excluded) are eligible for fee waiver or reduction for accommodation in on-campus dormitories.
