1. Our school was established in 1968 and renamed in 2006.
2. Patents: Our school aims to provide an excellent education for students and make them equipped with the creative thinking and problem solving abilities. We have achieved honorable performance in the professional realms of invention. In the period from 2003 to 2017, we have won near 4000 patent rights both globally and locally and ranked as the first winner among nation-wide universities.
3. International Invention Competitions: During the 2005-2017 period, we participated in the international invention competitions with 596 medals won wherein 192 of them were gold medals.
4. Award: We have been awarded by the "Teaching Excellence Programs to Reward Technological University and Colleges Proposed by the Ministry of Education" for 11 consecutive years with totally 16 million NTDs sponsored!
5. Industry-Academic Award: For many years, we have been rewarded the "Production and Research Achievement Award" Issued by the Chinese Institute of Engineers.
6. Outstanding Performance In the Industry-academic Cooperation and Research: During the 2010~2016 period, our number of the passed cases for the industry-university cooperative research projects proposed by Ministry of Science and Technology have been ranked as the first one among all nationwide universities of science and technology.
7. Excellent Incubation Center Award: Our incubation center used to win the Technological Niche Award of Excellent Incubation Centers in 2013. During the 2014-2015 period, we won the Innovative Application Award of Excellent Incubation Centers to become the "only one" 3-consecutive-year winner of the "Excellent Incubation Center Award" among the universities of science and technology.

• Science-based Industrial Park: Near to the Tainan Science-based Industrial Park, providing the industry-academia cooperation and the chance of internship in the company.
• Part-time job providing, studying easy:
  • Around 900 USD for each month in summer vacation and winter vacation
  • Each month for about 460 USD during the semester
• Graduate from FEU, working in Japan, Korea and China: Students who perform excellently during the whose studies, the teachers will assist to get the jobs in Japan, Korea and China.

Department Introduction: There are totally 13 departments and 6 graduate institutes.

Undergraduate Students:

1. The tuition is free in the 1st semester.
2. There are about 360 USD as a scholarship from the 2nd to 8th semester.
3. The first 2 year is free at the room of the 1st dorm and the 3rd dorm.

Graduate Students:

1. There are 540 USD are provided as the scholarship for each semester.
2. The 1st year is free at the room of the 1st dorm and the 3rd dorm.
