China University of Science and Technology was established in 1967 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 1999, it was restructured into "China Institute of Technology", and in 2009 it was renamed "China University of Science and Technology"; With the school philosophy of "implementing technical and vocational education, innovating industrial technology, and promoting whole-person education", it cultivates professional scientific and technological talents with humanistic care, local feelings and sound personality.

In recent years, the school has developed vigorously. In 2009, the school was awarded the "Excellent School Award for Industry-University Cooperation" by the Ministry of Education, and was awarded the "Excellent School for Industry-University Cooperation" by the Chinese Society of Engineers for several consecutive times. The school participated in the 21st and 22nd The 23rd Malaysia International Invention Exhibition won two gold medals each, and the 23rd one won two gold medals and four silver medals. In order to recognize the outstanding achievements of the school, the organizer awarded "Excellent Achievement Award" and "Special Award" to the school. The school participated in the 7th China International Invention Exhibition and won two golds, two silvers, one bronze medal and one outstanding invention award in China Science and Technology Investment Promotion. Every year, the school participates in the "Taipei International Invention and Technology Fair" and has won many awards. In addition, in order to ensure the quality of school affairs, it has passed ISO9001: 2008 and ISO27001 certification.

In terms of teaching, our school has implemented a number of "Teaching Excellence and Important Characteristic Talents Cultivation Program" of the Ministry of Education, "North District Regional Teaching Resource Center Program", "Key Characteristic Program", "Technical College Establishment Strategic Alliance Program" , "University Colleges Assisting High School Vocational Quality Improvement Program", "Industrial Practical Course Development and Pilot Program" (and was selected as a model school for practical teaching recommended by the Ministry of Education), etc.; in order to actively enhance students' employment competitiveness, The school combines study courses with certificate examinations, promotes students' internships inside and outside the school, handles employment studies, takes root in human resources, and cooperates with industry and academia, so that students can combine theory and practice to achieve the goal of “learning and using”.

At present, the school has a day department, an advanced education department, an attached advanced education college and an advanced education school, and an aviation maintenance education center, with a total of 13 departments and 7 research institutes. In addition to Taipei Nangang Campus, there are Xinzhu Campus (with aviation-related teaching campus) and Yunlin Campus (student internship and industry-university cooperation park).

In the future, the school will continue to operate steadily, and further implement the school's educational goals, improve the quality of education, cultivate outstanding senior talents, and develop into an outstanding university of science and technology.
