Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology traces its roots back to 1968, when the Oriental Academy of Industrial Technology was established. Mr. Yu Ziang Hsu, the founder of Far Eastern Group, aimed to meet the need of the economic growth nationwide, presented his version of a school based on the spirit of “Broaden Knowledge, Appreciate Virtue, Cultivate Talents, and Prosper Nation”. It is recognized as the nation’s first private two-year academy.

Type of scholarships
Undergraduate and Master programs:
Type 1: 100% tuition waiver
Requires: High school degree, achieved academic performance from GPA 3.0 or above, and Chinese ability with TOCFL at least A2 equivalent.
Type 2: 75% tuition waiver
Requires: High school degree, achieved academic performance from GPA 2.5 or above, and Chinese ability with TOCFL at least A2 equivalent.
Type 3: 50% tuition waiver
Requires: High school degree, achieved academic performance from GPA 2.0 or above, and Chinese ability with TOCFL at least A2 equivalent.
Type 4: For students who didn't get TOCFL A2
The numbers of scholarships allocated to each college for a given year are determined by the Scholarships Committee.
Enrolled:
Enrolled students may apply for the renewal of the scholarship for their next semester of undergraduate study or graduate study at AEUST. The evaluation is based on student’s previous semester’s academic performance.
Under graduate programs:
Type 1: 100% tuition waiver
Requires:
Achieved academic performance from the previous study semester with an average of 70 scores or above, and stay in the top 25% of the class.
Type 2: 75% tuition waiver.
Requires:
Achieved academic performance from an average of 70 scores or above for all courses, and stay in the top 50% of the class.
Type 3: 50% tuition waiver
Requires:
Achieved academic performance from an average of 70 scores or above for all courses.
Master programs
Type 1: 100% tuition waiver
Requires:
Achieved academic performance from the previous study semester with an average of 75 scores or above, and stay in the top 3 of the class.
Type 2: 75% tuition waiver
Requires:
Achieved academic performance from an average of 75 scores or above, and stay in the top 50% of the class.
Type 3: 50% tuition waiver

Achieved academic performance from an average of 75 scores or above.
