Established in 1961, Feng Chia University (FCU) currently has more than 22,000 students enrolled in its undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D. programs. Of the enrolled students, over 1,000 are from overseas. FCU is a prestigious Asia Pacific university characterized by excellence in education and ground-breaking research programs. Furthermore, FCU strives to cultivate the next generation of leaders with international outlook and appreciation for the arts and humanities.
All engineering-related academic departments are IEET Accredited. FCU is also the first university in central Taiwan to receive AACSB accreditation.
Excellence in Teaching-- The values of education lies in students' attitudes and behaviors. FCU is devoted to motivating students to learn, to improve interpersonal communication, and to enhance problem solving skills through innovative teaching methods and course design. Therefore, in this ever-changing world, FCU students are expected to prepare themselves for job markets that stress newly created technologies.
Focused Research-- New knowledge and new technology is derived from research. Therefore, FCU has been dedicated to multidisciplinary research in order to enhance research capacity and improve industry-academia collaboration.
FCU recruits outstanding scholars and researchers from home and abroad. In the past three years, more than 40 world-famous scholars have joined the FCU faculty. They include internationally renowned architect, Kengo Kuma; Professor Chin-*Chen Chang, who is considered Taiwan's father of cryptography; and Chung-Jen Hsu, President of PXmart, Chairman of the Commerce Development Research Institute.
Outreach and collaboration-- FCU aims to create the mechanism and platform for industry-academia collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region and provide global-scale services to make itself the best partner for entrepreneurs. The office of Industry-Academia Cooperation was thus established to provide operational, managerial, and technological guidance to small and medium enterprises.
FCU has established numerous and diverse industry-academia alliances to provide students with professional internship programs and training. So far, alliances have been forged with over 500 enterprises, including ventures throughout Taiwan, China, Japan, and other Asian countries. Each year there are more than 1,000 internship opportunities in various fields, which has achieved a win-win-win situation for FCU, students and industries.
Global Vision-- For the young generation, the amazing journey begins with FCU. The school's numerous partnerships and academic exchange programs with universities around the world offer tremendous advantages to students. Students are highly encouraged to participate in addition, the international exchange programs, field trips, volunteer programs, and overseas study tours. In addition, the International Experience Program, organized by FCU's Overseas Study Group and Generation Education Center, helps students not only plan their overseas journey but also apply for grants.

(1) FCU International Student Scholarship/Financial Aid
FCU provides three kinds of scholarship/financial aid: NT$120,000, NT$60,000 and Living allowance for the first academic year.
(2) Taiwan Scholarship
In an effort to encourage outstanding international students to undertake studies in Taiwan, international students can apply for the government-offered Taiwan Scholarship. Applicants must submit applications for the Taiwan Scholarship to the Taiwan Overseas Mission (TOM) located in their home country or in a nearby country between February 1 and March 31.
