2022-2 Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Indonesia(Online)

• Founded on June 30, 1899. The name of the school was ‘Tainan Teachers School’.
• The school was renamed ‘Taiwan Provincial Tainan Normal School’ on January 5, 1946.
• The school was upgraded to the junior college level and renamed ‘Taiwan Provincial Tainan Teachers Junior College’ on August 15, 1962.
• The school was upgraded to the college level and renamed ‘Taiwan Provincial Tainan Teachers College’ on July 1, 1987.
• The school was restructured to become national and renamed ‘National Tainan Teachers College’ on July 1, 1991.
• The school was upgraded to the university level and named ‘National University of Tainan’ on August 1, 2004. It officially transformed from the teacher college into the comprehensive university.

There are currently 222 full-time faculty members in our university, including 111 Professors (50%), 79 Associate Professors (35.5%), and 32 Assistant Professors (14.4%). Among them, the number of the faculty members with PhD degree is 213 (96%).

There are currently 5,687 students, 4,033 undergraduates and 1,654 postgraduates.

NUTN is devoted to promoting the international cooperation with universities worldwide. We have signed official agreements with 129 foreign universities in 22 countries. The scope for mutual cooperation includes faculty exchange, student exchange, international academic conferences, joint research projects, overseas internships, and double degree programs.

The scholarship is classified into the following two categories:

Type A: Tuition fee waiver

1. The total of the tuition fee, miscellaneous fees, and registration fee, including internet access fee and extra insurance, are fully covered.
2. Free dormitory room arranged by the University

Type B: Half of the tuition fee, miscellaneous fees, and registration fee are covered. The rate of tuition fee would follow the NUTN local students.
