Fooyin University was founded by Dr. Chang Peng Tu in 1958. The ideas of establishing the school are centered on human health. In 1971, Fooyin Hospital was established to share the same core value “human health,” promoting medical researches and community health. Our university is consisted of Schools of Nursing, Medical and Health Sciences, Environment and Life Sciences, and College of Humanities and Management. Our famous departments for international students include nursing, physical therapy, tourism and recreation industry management, health-business administration,nutrition & health science, biotechnology, health beauty, and information and technology. We have abundant industrial and academic resources, providing students with the opportunities of cross-field learning. Because of Fooyin’s devotion to teaching, the subsidies of the technical school demonstration plan, the excellent common courses and teaching plan were granted by the Ministry of Education, which is the biggest honor among the medical schools in southern Taiwan. Currently, we have approximately 9,000 students.
