The Sixth Taiwan-Indonesia Higher Education Virtual Forum

On 25-26 November 2021, Asia University, Taiwan, and Education Division, Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO) Jakarta has successfully conducted The Sixth Taiwan-Indonesia Higher Education Virtual Forum under the supervision of the Ministry of Education Taiwan and The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Indonesia. At least Presidents/Rectors, Vice-presidents/Vice-Rectors, Deans of International Affairs, and CEOs from industries on both sides, approximately 200 representatives. The forum aims to create a superb platform for higher education institutions on both sides to engage in academic dialogue and promote industrial collaboration. It also explores the opportunities and challenges of digital technology in the age of globalization of higher education. 
    

The event was opened by the opening remarks from Dr. Mon-Chi Lio, Political Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education, Dr. Ir. Nizam, Director General of Higher Education the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Indonesia, Dr. Jeffrey, Tsai, President of Asia University, Ambassador John Chen from Taipei Economic and Trade Office Indonesia in Jakarta, and Mr. Budi Santoso, the representative of Indonesian Economic and Trade Office to Taipei. The second day's highlight was the MOU signing between more than 100 Indonesian Universities and Taiwan Universities. Director-General, Department of International and Cross-strait Education, Ministry of Education Taiwan, Dr. Nicole Yen-Yi Lee attended the forum to witness the MOU signing symbolic ceremony with six representative Universities from both Indonesian and Taiwan Universities
